INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, over the weekend to compete in the Western Shootout at Western Bowl, where the men's teams took twelfth with a 9305 (6048 team, 3257 baker), and the women's team finished ninth, posting an 8649 (5577 team, 3072 baker).
Jillian Treska finished first for the women with a 17th-place finish overall, bowling in six games. Treska posted a total score of 1203 for an average of 200.5 pins/game.
Kayla Cameron finished next for Tech with an 1126 through six games, averaging 187.67 pins/game.
Meagan Kennedy was close behind Cameron with 1114 in her six games, for an average of 185.67 pins/game.
Elizabeth Jones bowled five games for the Orange and Black, posting an 861, averaging 172.2.
Natalie Schildhouse posted an 819 in four games, averaging 204.75 pins/game.
Jordan Downham bowled two games, averaging 154.5 for a score of 309.
Ryleigh Hanicq knocked down 145 pins in her lone game bowled.
Alex Horton posted the high score for the men's team, knocking down 1615 pins in his six games, averaging 219 per game.
Tuna Boncu came in next for Tech, bowling five games with a score of 992, averaging 198.
Cameron Kilgore also bowled five games for the Warriors, recording a 979 for an average of 196 pins/game.
Dylan Bulusan averaged 211 pins in his four games for a total of 844.
Parker Laubach also bowled four games, averaging 197 for a score of 788.
Brandon Haney posted a 580 in three games, averaging 193 pins/game.
Brent Shroyer bowled two games, knocking down 383 for an average of 192 per game.
Jayden Combs posted a 167 in his lone game bowled.
The men's and women's teams are back in action on Saturday, November 2, at Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township, Michigan, for the second WHAC Jamboree of the season.
