STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's bowling teams returned to action on Saturday as they traveled to Sterling Heights, Michigan, to compete in the season's third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree. The two teams put together strong performances as the women's team topped the podium, winning with 6200 as their score. The men finished second in the event with a score of 6327.
Alex Horton led the way for the men's team with a sixth-place finish, knocking down 666 pins in three games for an average of 222.
Parker Laubach finished next for the Orange and Black with a score of 622 in his three games, averaging 207.3. Dylan Thompson bowled two games for the Warriors with a score of 429 for an average of 214.5 pins per game.
Tuna Boncu was also featured in two games for Tech, knocking down 372 pins and averaging 186 per game.
Joey Price and
Brent Shroyer also bowled two games for the Warriors, scoring 355 and 344, respectively.
Jayden Combs tossed one game, scoring 162.
Jillian Treska led the way for the women's team, claiming the top prize with a first-place finish, knocking down 700 pins in three games for an average of 233.3.
Kayla Cameron finished fourth overall, scoring 672 for an average of 224 in her three games.
Natalie Schildhouse finished next for the Warriors, finishing sixteenth with a total of 603 pins in her three games, averaging 201 pins per game.
Meagan Kennedy posted a score of 551 in three games, averaging 183.6.
Leah Brazier scored 341 in two games for an average of 170.5, while
Jordan Downham scored 180 in one game for the Warriors.
The Warriors return to action at the Keystone Quaker Classic on December 17 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
