FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech baseball team took a break from Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening to host the Defiance College Yellow Jackets for a doubleheader. The Warrior's win streak came to an end as they fell in game one 5-4, and the rain ruined Tech's chance for revenge as the second game was canceled.
 
The Yellow Jackets had hot bats in the opening frame as two doubles sent two runs across home for an early 2-0 lead. The visitors picked up another run in the top half of the fourth inning to extend their lead but were quickly answered by a three-run inning from the Warriors to level the score. The deadlock was short-lived as Defiance plated two more runs in the top of the fifth to regain the lead. A double to left from Tristan Osika in the bottom of the six brought the Warriors within one as it scored Jaden Miller from second, but the comeback came up short as Tech fell 5-4.
 
Up next for the Warriors, the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers, who currently sit atop the WHAC standings, for a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
