ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech baseball team traveled to Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Sunday afternoon to take on the Concordia University Cardinals in a conference doubleheader. Riding the big win over the top team in the WHAC, UNOH, on Saturday, the Warriors looked to bring down the second team in the conference standings but were narrowly outdone by the Cardinals, falling 7-8 in game one and 10-11 in game two.

Both sides added a run to their tally in the first inning to keep the game level. After a scoreless second inning, the Cardinals took their first lead of the afternoon with a three-run frame in the third. Tech immediately answered with four runs in the top of the fourth to retake the lead, but it was short-lived as the hosts plated another two runs in their half of the fourth. The Warrior's offense posted two more runs in the next two innings while holding the Cardinal's offense stagnant. Down to their last out with a runner on first, the hosts rallied to score the needed two runs and claim the victory.
Eli MacDonald led the Orange and Black in offense, going two for four at the plate with two RBIs.

The Warriors started things in game two as
Eli MacDonald drove in three runs via a home run. Concordia matched the Warriors with a three-run shot of their own in the bottom of the first to square the score. The Warrior's offense added two more runs in the top of the second but was outdone by the Cardinals, who took their first lead of the game with a four spot in the second. The Warriors scored, closed the gap between the sides with another run in the third, and knotted the game with a run in the top of the fifth. The hosts grabbed the lead again with a run in the bottom of the fifth to lead 8-7. A solo shot from
Parker Bates and an RBI single from
Ben Morrison in the seventh put the Warriors up by one.
Tristan Osika doubled the Warrior's lead in the eighth with a solo home run.  Once again, the Cardinals answered the call as they hit in two runs in the ninth to knot the game and force extra innings. After blanking the Warriors in the tenth, the Cardinals narrowly escaped with an RBI single to end the game.
Ben Morrison,
Luke Huerta, and
Eli MacDonald recorded multiple RBIs for the Warriors with two, two, and three, respectively.

The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday as they host the Lourdes University Gray Wolves for a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m.
