FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team was picked first in the 2025-26 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, the conference announced Thursday.
Indiana Tech received 138 points and eight of the twelve first-place votes in this year's preseason ranking after going 27-6 last season with a 19-1 conference record, WHAC regular season championship (now winning seven of the last eight), and a trip to the round of sixteen in the NAIA national tournament after winning the Fort Wayne pod of the First and Second Round. In the poll, the Warriors take the top spot by 10 points, with Aquinas picked to finish second with 128 points. Lourdes was picked third, receiving one first-place vote and 117 points. The Warriors open their season on Wednesday, October 29, hosting Miami University (Hamilton) with the opening tip-off set for 11:00 a.m.
The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by assigning 12 points to the team a coach ranks first, 11 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
