FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team was back in action on Tuesday evening as they welcomed Cleary University to the Schaefer Center for a WHAC showdown. For the second straight game, the Warriors surpassed the 100-point mark, winning big over the Cougars, 103-73.
It was another fast start for the Warriors as they saw their early lead balloon to double figures just shortly after the opening five minutes, leading 17-6 with 14:23 left on the clock. The Warriors' offense continued to fire on all cylinders in the final fifteen minutes, shooting at a 67.7% clip, while connecting on half of their three-point attempts, 7-14.
Jaxson Fugate and
Dallas Roberts paced the Warriors to a 55-31 advantage headed into halftime with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Out of the break, the Warriors picked up where they left off. The offense was efficient once again, shooting 48.8% from the floor in the second, which helped the Warriors extend their lead to as much as 38, before settling for a 103-73 victory.
Jaxson Fugate posted a game-high 22 points, grabbed five boards, and dished out five assists.
Evan Haroldson chipped in 18 points off the bench and grabbed four rebounds.
Logan Beaston and
Blake Davison scored 12 points apiece. Beatson added two rebounds and three assists, while Davison had three boards and four assists.
Dallas Roberts had 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
The Warriors now sit at 7-1 overall this season, remaining unblemished in conference play with a 3-0 record. Up next, the Warriors will host Lawrence Tech on December 3, with the game starting at 8:00 p.m.
