Albert Tallies 200th Career Win as Warriors Down Blue Devils

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team hit the floor on Wednesday evening, hosting the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech University in the Schaefer Center. After a tough battle in the first half, the Warriors would stretch the advantage in the second to come out on top, 85-65. With the win, head coach Ted Albert tallies his 200th career win.

The opening five minutes of the first half were level as the two sides tried to find their footing. Over the next five minutes, the Warriors looked to extend the narrow lead they held, leading 25-16 with just under ten minutes left to play. Blake Davison's 11 points in the half helped the Warriors stretch their advantage to as much as 14 with over five minutes to the break. In the final five minutes, the Warriors' offense went cold, while the Blue Devils came storming back into the game, cutting the lead to three points, before Tech held a 36-32 lead into the break. Out of the break, the two sides were still deadlocked. The Blue Devils took a brief lead in the opening three minutes, but the Warriors responded, retaking the lead. The Warriors would hold a narrow lead for the next five minutes, followed by a 12-0 run, which saw them extend the lead to double figures. Jaxson Fugate's 24 second-half points helped keep the Warriors in front, securing the 85-65 win.

The Warriors were led by Jaxson Fugate with 28 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Blake Davison posted a double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals. Steele Brasfield added 13 points, six rebounds, and one assist. Logan Beaston tallied 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
