FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Tech's Shawn Wilhite was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the WHAC announced on Monday.
 
Wilhite takes the honor after his performance at the WHAC Indoor Championships hosted at Tech's Doug Edgar Indoor Track Facility this past Friday and Saturday. The Winder, Georgia, native finished first in the Long Jump with an NAIA "A" standard mark of 7.26m. Wilhite was also named Co-Most Valuable Performer at the meet.
 
The Warriors prepare for the NAIA Indoor National meet, which runs from February 27^th through March 1. The National meet takes place at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida.
