ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's track team went to Michigan on Thursday and Friday for the 2025 WHAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Warriors would be crowned WHAC Champions for a 12th straight season, making it a 2024-25 season sweep after also winning the Indoor Championship in February! Tech would dominate over two days, tallying up 224 points and winning by more than 35 as Madonna University finished second with 187.5 points.
Claiming WHAC First Team honors were
Mark Phillips (twice),
Christian Dixon,
Javion Westfield,
Esau Haynes,
Deonsae Dorsey, and
Davarri Barthell. Phillips would win both the long jump (7.09 meters) and the triple jump (13.86 meters) and Dixon would win the shot put (16.40 meters). The men's 4x100 meter relay team of
Javion Westfield,
Esau Haynes,
Deonsae Dorsey, and
Davarri Barthell would run a 40.67 to finish first in the race.
WHAC Second Team honors would include
Jackie Saye in the 110m hurdles (14.41),
Davarri Barthell in the 200m (20.96),
Waval Davis in the 800m (1:52.95),
Giulio Romano in the 1500m (3:57.69),
Christopher Putman in the 10,000m (32:53.96),
Jayden Packer in pole vault (4.50m), Jacob Kavicky in shot put (15.04m),
Braylon Amos in triple jump (13.86m), and the 4x800m relay team of
Waval Davis,
Giulio Romano,
Ngor Agwick, and
Dylan Banda (7:35.47).
Juan Caballero (steeplechase – 9:42.02),
Tayvahr Wright (high jump – 1.91m), and
Javion Westfield (long jump – 6.94m) would earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors, while
Victor Rodriguez was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team. Head Coach

The Warriors will compete in more meet prior to the NAIA Outdoor National Championships that will be held in Marion, Indiana from May 21st to May 23rd. Tech will compete at the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State University on Friday, May 9th in Terre Haute, Indiana.
