Coach Edgar on the Hurdlers:
"We couldn't be happier with the recruiting class that Coach
Wes Wheeler has coming in. On the men's side, this class is unmatched at the NAIA level. We have six freshmen with national-level times. Pairing them with Jackie and Javion gives us what we believe can be the best hurdle group in the NAIA.
While losing KP (
Kiya Pogue) will hurt our women's crew, we feel we have a great chance to continue our streak of All-Americans. The ability to train with us for a year will really help Kaily, Alana, and J'nqe have amazing debut collegiate seasons.
Kayla Rorie suffered an injury last year indoor that really set her back, but she can run under 14.00 as a sophomore. Alyssa, Annaja, and Greta can all come in and challenge for NAIA standards as freshman. We have multiple men and women who will thrive by getting consistent hurdle training. I have no doubt Coach Wheeler will have both groups atop the event squad rankings this year."
