FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #4 Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team hosted Saint Ambrose University (Iowa) on Thursday evening in their second home game of the season.
Defense would be the story early in this one as both teams struggled offensively.
Josh Bramley would pick up the lone Warriors goal in the first quarter on a man up powerplay and assist from
Jake Deacon. The Fighting Bees would also only put up one goal in the first quarter as the two sides were deadlocked after 15 minutes of play. In the second quarter, the Warriors would get hot! The defense would pitch a shutout in the quarter and the offense would go on an 8-0 run to give Tech a 9-1 lead at the half. The third quarter would play out similarly to the first, with both sides only scoring once. The Orange & Black would take the sting out of the Bees with four more goals in the fourth quarter, going on to win the game by a final of 14-4. Bramley (five goals), Deacon (two goals, three assists), and
Devin Macomber (four goals, one assist) would all finish with five points for the Warriors, while
Ryan Tedesco would add four assists as ten different Warriors would register at least a point in this one.
Zach Spisz would pick up four ground balls and the Warrior defense would cause 13 turnovers as the defense stymied the Bees all night. Goaltender
Kyle TwoBulls would also play a big part in that, finishing with 13 saves in the win.
Up next is a big top five matchup as the Warriors will host #4 Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, March 1st at 12pm at Warrior Athletic Field.
