Box Score 2 FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #7 ranked Indiana Tech women's hockey team swept Aquinas this past weekend scoring a total of 22 goals and earning two shutouts. They won 6-0 on the road on Friday, and a dominating 16-0 win at home on Saturday. This moves their overall record to 17-9-2 on the season.
In game one, the Warriors came alive in the second period at 3:48 when
Hailey Anderson netted a goal on the power play, assisted by
Sylvie Legault and
Lauren Younker. At 10:20,
Dakota Bowler scored with assists from
Hailey Terpstra and
Sylvie Legault, giving Indiana Tech a 2-0 lead. Later in the period, at 17:00, freshman
Haylee Grenier notched her first goal as a Warrior coming off a setup from
Arina Jusczak, sending the Warriors into the third period with a 3-0 lead. In the third period at 6:05,
Dakota Bowler struck again on the power play, with an assist from
Hailey Terpstra. At 14:24, Isobel Pettem-Shand extended the lead to 5-0, scoring her 10th goal of the season with assists from
Dakota Bowler and
Lauren Younker. Just over two minutes later, at 16:48,
Dakota Bowler completed her hat trick, capping off the 6-0 win. Her 18th goal of the season came off assists from
Mikayla Kalverda and
Lauren Younker. Goaltender
Ashtyn Berthiaume played a total of 60 minutes, saving 15 shots and earning a shutout on the road.
In game two, Indiana Tech showcased an unstoppable offense, netting 16 goals in a blowout victory. The offense was relentless, with standout performances by
Hailey Anderson, earning a double hattrick and team high nine points (6 goals, 3 assists),
Sylvie Legault earning a hattrick of goals and assists (3 goals, 3 assists), and
Arina Jusczak also chipping in on nearly half of the team's goals (6 assists). Goaltender
Ashtyn Berthiaume played a total of 60 minutes saving 6 shots in total earning her second shutout of the weekend. All 16 Warrior goals were as follows:

The Warriors are back in action next weekend for their last regular season two-game series against the University of Rode Island. Both games are at home at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana with the first on Friday, February 14th at 7pm, and second on Saturday, February 15th at 3pm, as they will be celebrating senior day for the first four-year class in Tech women's hockey program history and their amazing four years spent as Warriors.
