LOCKPORT, Ill. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team battled the University of Saint Franics (Ill.) on Saturday evening in a close match that the Warriors would fall short in to the Fighting Saints 2-5.
In the doubles matches, Tech duo

Nayra Orellana would secure the first win while USF would take the second, making it 1-1, but the Warriors would have to default in the third match as USF would come away with the doubles point. In the singles matches,
Paula San Jose Menendez would win her match to get the Warriors on the board before the Fighting Saints would take the next three.
Danica Kuntz would win her singles match for the Warriors, giving the second point on the day, but Tech would have to default the final match as the Fighting Saints would come away with the 5-2 victory in the end.

Tech now sits at 1-1 on the season and will have a couple weeks off before they begin conference play against the University of Northwestern Ohio on Friday, February 21st at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Wildwood Racquet Club.
