Warriors Score Season High 26 Goals in Win over Rochester Christian

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The #9 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team hit the road on Saturday afternoon for a conference matchup against Rochester Christian University. Tech would come into the game on the heels of their huge victory over #5 Lawrence Tech University earlier in the week and would carry that momentum into Saturday's game, scoring a season high 26 goals.

The Warriors would dominate from start to finish as they move their win streak to five in a row. Kylie King would score three of the first four goals for the Orange & Black as they got off to a hot start. Seven different Warriors would score in the opening quarter as Tech led 11-0 after 15 minutes. Lexi Gallini would score just 12 seconds into the second quarter in the first of five Warrior goals in the period. Gabby Hitchcock would get the fifth to make it 16-0 at halftime. In the third quarter, Tech would tack on seven more goals with Da'Zah Regusters and Lauren Hainlin both scoring twice. Michelle Farrell would score the 24th goal for the Warriors to open the fourth quarter, followed by Harper Ripke's goal midway through the quarter. Rochester would finally get on the board with five minutes to go in the game, denying the Warriors a shutout. Noelle Ricci would score the 26th and final goal for Tech to highlight a dominant day for the Warriors in a huge 26-1 victory. Michelle Farrell would lead the Warriors with ten points (3 G, 7 A), and set multiple new career highs with eight ground balls, three caused turnovers, and 12 draw controls. Hainlin, Regusters, and Ricci would all finish with four goals, while King and Brook Maul would both add three. Kat Hoff would start in goal, playing the first half and earning the win, while Sydney Oberdorfer would play the final 30 minutes in net for the Warriors.

With the big win, the Warriors jump to 5-2 overall on the season and 3-0 in conference play. Tech will play at home in their next game against Madonna University on Wednesday, March 26th at 5pm.
