FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #9 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team hosted Madonna University in a conference matchup on Wednesday evening, where the Warriors easily took care of business to pick up the win.
The Warriors have been on fire in the month of March with another 20+ goal game, their third in the last four games played. Tech would get off to a hot start with 11 first period goals to Madonna's one.
Da'zah Regusters would a record hat trick in the first quarter, while four Warriors, including
Noelle Ricci,
Brook Maul,
Lauren Hainlin, and
Michelle Farrell would all add two goals apiece as Tech would run away with it early. The Warriors would score three more in the second quarter to make it 14-1 at halftime. Farrell would complete her hattrick in the third quarter, with
Kylie King and
Lexi Gallini both picking up their first goals of the game as Tech went into the final quarter up 18-1. The Warriors would add four more goals in the fourth quarter with
Cyena Williams picking up one for her first of the game as Tech would easily win 22-2 over the Crusaders.
Michelle Farrell,
Lauren Hainlin, and
Da'zah Regusters would each finish with five goals in the game, ending with eight, six, and five points respectively. Farrell would lead the Warriors with five caused turnovers, while Regusters would lead the team in both draw controls (nine) and ground balls (six).
Kat Hoff would start in goal for the Orange & Black playing 45 minutes and picking up the win, while making two saves.
Sydney Oberdorfer would play the final quarter in net for the Warriors and finish with two saves.
The Warriors improve to 7-2 overall on the season and 4-0 in conference play after the blowout victory. Tech will play next at home against Bethel University on senior day on Saturday, March 29th at 1pm.
