Warriors Win Huge WHAC Showdown on Senior Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #8 Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team held their senior night on Saturday evening in their final regular season home game of the year. The Warriors would host #5 Madonna University in a huge WHAC top ten showdown. The Crusaders came into the game as the only undefeated team left in conference at 4-0, while the Warriors sat in a four-way tie for second at 3-1.

The Warriors would start off the day by honoring their nine seniors, Tristan McKneely, Devin Macomber, Isaiah Flores, Nehemiah Loving-Lewis, Cooper Langille, Aaron Adams, Simeon Bodley, Josh Bramley, and Kyle TwoBulls before the game. The celebrations would quickly come to an end as the game start with Madonna shocking the Warriors with the first four goals of the game. Tech would get a spark late in the quarter though, scoring two times in the final minute on goals from Cooper Langille and Ryan Tedesco just 18 seconds apart. Madonna would open the scoring in the second quarter to make it 5-2, but then Tech would catch fire with five straight goals to go up 7-5. The Warriors would keep the momentum going with a buzzer beater to end the half as Devin Macomber scored on a last second shot assisted by Josh Bramley with one second on the clock to give them a 10-7 lead going into halftime. The Orange & Black would start to run away with it in the third with a 4-0 run to make it 14-8. The Crusaders would only be able to get back within five as the Warriors would hold them off, with Tech winning the fourth quarter battle 3-2 and winning it by a final of 17-11. Macomber would lead all scorers with five goals on the day, in addition to six ground balls and one caused turnover. Langille would add four goals and a CT, while Bramley would pick up two goals, one assist, and five ground balls. Zach Spisz would add three caused turnovers and four ground balls, while going 3/5 on faceoffs. Kyle TwoBulls would pick up the win in goal, making 12 saves and grabbing four ground balls. Some other senior highlights include Isaiah Flores recording one goal, one ground ball, and one caused turnover, Simeon Bodley adding one assist and one ground ball, Tristan McKneely going 6/10 on faceoffs and picking up three ground balls, and Aaron Adams grabbing one ground ball and winning three faceoffs.

The Warriors improve to 11-2 overall on the season and 4-1 in WHAC play, now sitting in a four-way tie for first atop the standings. Tech will play two more regular season games, both on the road next week. The Warriors will head to Southfield, Michigan to play #9 Lawrence Tech on Wednesday, April 16th and will finish the season on the road at #6 Aquinas on Saturday, April 19th.
