Men’s Lacrosse Falls in National Quarterfinal Matchup Against Cumberlands

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The #6 ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team battled against the #3 ranked University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Wednesday evening in the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinal round where the Warriors would fall in a close one to the Patriots, ending their season.

After a Cumberlands goal in the opening minute, Jake Deacon would tie the game for the Warriors, but the Patriots would control most of the first half, leading 3-2 after the first quarter and 7-4 at halftime. Tech had tied it again at four with back-to-back goals from Josh Bramley and Ryan Tedesco, but Cumberlands closed the second quarter on a 3-0 run to regain the lead. Tech would come out strong in the second half with four straight goals to take their first lead of the game at 8-7 on Cam Fewster's goal at 6:04. The Patriots would close the third quarter and open the fourth quarter with a pair of 3-0 runs to take back the lead at 10-8 and add some insurance to it at 13-8 with just over nine minutes to play. Devin Macomber and Simeon Bodley scored the next two for Tech to cut the deficit back to three, but the Warriors would be unable to complete the comeback, falling 10-13 to the Patriots. Deacon (3 G) and Macomber (1 G, 2 A) would both pick up three points for the Warriors, while Bramley (2 G) and Fewster (1 G, 1 A) each added two. Tristan McKneely and Kyle TwoBulls would both pick up six ground balls and Zach Spisz would cause three turnovers. TwoBulls would make 18 huge saves in the game but ultimately pick up the loss in goal for the Warriors.

The Warriors finish the 2025 season with a 13-4 record, a WHAC Regular Season Championship, and a tenth NAIA National Tournament appearance.
