Indiana Tech’s 2025 Hall of Fame Class Announced

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Tech Department of Athletics will be inducting four individuals, Travis Barroquillo, Kendall Guthrie, Shaun Geise, and Dr. Jeffrey Walls into its Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 4th, during Homecoming Weekend. The induction ceremony will take place in the Schaefer Gymnasium at 10:30am with a brunch and presentation. Registration is closed, but a limited number of seats may be available for purchase at the event.

Travis Barroquillo MWR 2011-16
Travis Barroquillo '16 - Men's Wrestling

Travis Barroquillo competed on the Indiana Tech Men’s Wrestling team from the 2011-12 season to the 2015-16 season. He was a part of the men’s wrestling team’s inaugural season as a program at Tech and would become the first wrestler to sign at Tech. He was also Tech’s first All-American along with Tanner Martin in 2011-12 and helped the Warriors to their first team championship in his third season during 2013-14 and first NAIA Nationals team trophy with a 3rd place finish in 2015-16. Barroquillo would finish his career as Tech’s first 3x All-American, first 4x National Qualifier, and the program leader in wins with 120, pins with 60, and tech falls with 15. He still holds top ten records at Tech in single season wins (#4 – 36), single season matches (#7 – 46), single season falls (#3 – 19), single season reversals (#5 – 18), single season bonus point wins (#1 – 29), single season near fall 2 counts (#1 – 26), single season near fall 3 counts (#1 – 26), single season total near fall points (#1 – 140), career falls (#1 – 60), career tech falls (#5 – 15), career reversals (#2 – 55), career bonus point wins (#1 – 90), career near fall 2 counts (#1 – 72), career near fall 3 counts (#1 – 59), career total near fall points (#1 – 433), career takedowns (#6 – 198), career wins (#2 – 120), career matches (#1 – 164), and career winning percentage (#9 – 73.2%). Over his career, Barroquillo would help the Warriors to two NAIA Regional Tournament Championships, was a 2x individual NAIA Regional Tournament Champion, the 2015-16 NAIA Midwest Regional Tournament Wrestler of the Year, was Indiana Tech's Outstanding Wrestler twice, and was a NAIA/NWCA All-Academic Team selection in 2011-12.

Kendall Guthrie WLAX 2011-14
Kendall Guthrie '14 - Women's Lacrosse

Kendall Guthrie played on the Indiana Tech Women’s Lacrosse team from 2011 to 2014. In her four years, she helped lead them to the NWLL National Tournament in four straight seasons and took them all the way to the finals in 2012. Guthrie would also help the Warriors win back-to-back WHAC Regular Season Championships in the WHAC’s first two seasons with lacrosse as an affiliated sport, as well as the first WHAC Tournament Championship in 2013. In addition to the team success, she holds a multitude of top ten records at Tech with 3 top four marks in single season points, 3 top 5 marks in single season goals, 3 top ten marks in single season ground balls, and top ten marks in single season draw controls and caused turnovers. Guthrie also holds 6 top four records in career stats. She is #1 in career points and goals with 353 and 283, #2 in ground balls with 262, #3 in draw controls and caused turnovers with 223 and 67, and #4 in assists with 70. In the two seasons before the Warriors would join the WHAC, Guthrie would earn First Team All-NWLL and All-Tournament Team honors in both seasons. Upon moving to the WHAC, Guthrie would make the All-Conference Team, the All-Academic Team, and be named Offensive Player of the Year in both seasons. She would additionally be named First Team All-American and National Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014, while also making the All-Tournament Team and was an Academic All-American in 2014.

Shaun Geise BSB 1999-2002
Shaun Geise '02 - Baseball

Shaun Geise played on the Indiana Tech Baseball team from 1999 to 2002. In his four years, the Warriors would win three WHAC Regular season titles and two WHAC Tournament titles, heading to the NAIA World Series in all four years, finishing in third place in 2000. Geise would finish his career as Tech’s all-time single season wins record holder with 12 in 2002. He also still holds top ten records at Tech in single season appearances (#3 – 24) and starts (#7 – 14) and would finish his career with 129.1 innings pitches over 48 appearances, picking up 16 wins, 6 saves, and 128 strikeouts. In 2002, Geise would go 12-2 on the mound with six complete games and a shutout, throwing 76 strikeouts and posting a 3.61 ERA on his way to making the WHAC All-Conference Team and earning All-American honorable mention honors.

Dr. Jeffrey Walls - Professor Emeritus
Dr. Jeffrey Walls - SHRM-SCP, SPHR - Professor Emeritus

Dr. Jeffrey Walls has spent the last 36 years at Indiana Tech and has been an avid supporter of Tech Athletics over his tenure. He is one of the most renown professors in the history of Indiana Tech and has made many contributions to not only his students and peers, but also the athletic department, its staff, and the athletes at Tech. Dr. Walls joined the College of Business in 1989 and over his time here has built a human resources degree program that is nationally recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest HR professional society. For his work, Dr. Walls received the SHRM National Student Advisor of the Year in 2011 and received Faculty of the Year multiple times, most recently in 2020. He recently became just the fifth professor in Tech history to receive the honor of Emeritus.
