Women’s Soccer Tabbed Ninth in WHAC Preseason Poll

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team was picked to finish ninth in the 2025 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, the conference announced Monday morning.

Indiana Tech received 57 points in this year's preseason poll after finishing in seventh place last season with a 5-5-2 conference record and their best conference finish since the 2018 season. The Warriors have continued to improve over the past few years and head into a new season looking to keep climbing up the standings. Tech narrowly misses out on the preseason playoff picture sitting just four points out of the eight-spot held by Madonna University, while maintaining some distance over tenth-ranked Cleary University with a 16-point cushion.

The University of Northwestern Ohio and Aquinas College are both popular picks to win the conference in 2025, receiving five and six first place votes respectively. UNOH has a slight edge in total points, 136 to 134, as they are the preseason favorites going into the new campaign. Siena Heights received the other first place vote and received 111 points sitting in third.

The WHAC Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches. Points are tabulated by assigning 12 points to the team a coach ranks first, 11 points to a team a coach ranks second, and so on. The number of first-place votes indicates the number of coaches who ranked that team as the No. 1 team in the WHAC.
