ELGIN, Ill. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team played their first road contest of the 2025 season on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Judson University, where the Warriors would fall in a tight one 1-0.
The first half of play would show a fairly even match as both sides would record two shots on target and five fouls. Judson would have a slight 5-3 edge in total shots and 1-0 edge in corner kicks through 45 minutes, but neither side would find the back of the net as they went into halftime 0-0. In the second half, both offenses would pick up the intensity trying to get on the scoreboard. Judson would register eight total shots with four on target, while the Warriors would register five shots and three on target, with five total corner kicks between the two teams in the second half. Judson managed to get one past Tech's goalkeeper,
Sara Cogoli, in the 58
th minute to make it 1-0 to the Eagles. Tech would fail to score for a third straight game as they drop to 0-3-0 to start the season. Cogoli would make five saves in goal for the Warriors.
Shelby DeRidder would put two shots on goal to lead the Tech attack, while
Jillian Lester and
Cecelia Landsiedal would record two shots each.
The Warriors will have some time off before their next fixture when they host #18 Campbellsville University on Monday, September 15
th at 1pm at Warrior Athletic Field.
