UNION LAKE, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's hockey team will start the 2025-26 season off at No. 17 in the rankings as the ACHA released the D1 Top 25 Preseason Ranking on Wednesday.
The Warriors received 176 points in this year's preseason ranking, 17 points behind No. 16 Oswego State University and 24 points ahead of No. 18 Midland University. Tech finished last season with a 28-4-1 overall record, falling in the first round of the ACHA National Tournament. The Orange & Black would however win a fifth straight regular season WHAC Championship with a near perfect 23-1 record, while also winning a second straight WHAC Tournament Championship. Last year's national champion, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, claimed the top spot in the 2025-26 preseason ranking with 500 points and 23 first place votes. Adrian College comes in second with 471 points and one first place vote, while Minot State University is third with 464 points.
Tech will start their season on Tech's Homecoming weekend with a Friday night game at the PSM Icehouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana against Davenport University on October 3
rd at 7:30pm.
