FORT WAYNE, Ind. – New year, new rankings! Indiana Tech opened 2026 with strong national recognition, as eight Warrior teams earned spots in the latest polls. With steady movement across the board, the Warriors carried momentum through the break, making noise on the national stage and setting the tone for an exciting stretch of competition.
Tech's men's bowling team climbed one spot in the polls, moving from No. 3 to No. 2. The Warriors have turned in outstanding performances at recent matchups, finishing second at the Keystone Quaker Classic and capturing first place at the Leigh Valley Classic. At the Leigh Valley Classic, Tech posted an impressive team score of 5,444, highlighting their consistency and competitiveness. The women's team also posted strong results, finishing third at both the Keystone and Leigh Valley Classics and recording a team-high 4,479 at the Lehigh Valley Championship, showcasing depth and strong performances across the lineup. The women moved down one spot to No. 9 in the recent poll.
Indiana Tech's men's and women's wrestling teams remained competitive in the latest polls, with the men holding steady at No. 4 and the women sliding one spot to No. 8. The men's team dominated the Fire Duals in Florida, earning wins over No. 13 Providence, No. 4 Southeastern, and RV Keiser, outscoring opponents by a combined 88–35 to finish the trip a perfect 3–0. The Warriors continued their strong stretch at the NWCA National Duels, finishing third overall, while
Jonathan Kervin earned Indiana Tech's December Warrior of the Month honor. The No. 8–ranked women's wrestling team faced a challenging field featuring competitors from all divisions, securing a third-place finish in a 17-team field at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships.
Rose Kaplan led the way with a second-place finish in the 124-pound class, scoring 20 points. The team totaled 81 points, finishing just behind NCAA Division III North Central College and NAIA No. 1 Life University. Indiana Tech also competed at the NWCA National Duals, finishing eighth overall and using the experience as a building block for upcoming matchups in the new year.
The No. 13–ranked women's hockey team remained steady in the polls after opening the year with a split series against No. 15 Michigan. After dropping a tightly contested first game, the Warriors bounced back in game two with an overtime victory with
Hailey Terpstra netting the overtime goal to secure the team win. With fresh skates on the ice and
Allison Greene guiding the team, Indiana Tech has maintained strong offensive pressure and playmaking, keeping opponents on their heels.
The men's hockey team surged three spots to No. 21 in the latest rankings following a dominant weekend sweep of Rochester Christian. The Warriors posted back-to-back shutouts, winning 12–0 and 15–0, while showcasing offensive depth and special-teams efficiency.
Ryan Doucette and
Malik Ali lead on the ice for the team they are able to support by scoring contributions across the lineup. Indiana Tech now turns its attention to a pivotal conference matchup against Cleary, carrying momentum and confidence into the contest.
Since the last poll, Indiana Tech's men's and women's basketball teams saw slight movement, with the men dropping to No. 13 and the women to No. 24. Both teams have faced a demanding slate of matchups to start the year. The men fell to Madonna in a conference game on January 3rd, 91–98, but have since bounced back with three straight wins. The women are currently riding a four-game win streak after suffering a nonconference loss to RV Taylor. Both men's and women's teams remain 10–1 in conference play, with
