Strong Second Half Push Lifts Tech Past Madonna

Livonia, Mich. – The Warriors were back on the court to start the new year, opening conference play with a strong 76–59 win over the Madonna Crusaders. Indiana Tech pulled away late to secure the road victory in Livonia.

Madonna jumped out early, holding a narrow advantage after the first quarter, but Indiana Tech responded with a 25-point second quarter to take control heading into halftime. Indiana Tech took full command in the fourth quarter, outscoring Madonna 23–6 over the final 10 minutes. The Warriors' defense held Madonna to just three made field goals in the quarter while converting timely baskets on the offensive end to stretch the lead to as many as 17 points late.

Taylor Covington led Indiana Tech with 22 points, adding three assists and knocking down three three-pointers. Jacklyn Crews was highly efficient off the bench, scoring 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while Jaidyn Gulley posted a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
