Warriors Wrap Up Season with Senior Day Against Rochester Christian

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team held their senior day on Saturday afternoon, hosting Rochester Christian in their season finale.

The Warriors would start off the day by honoring their six seniors; Shelby DeRidder, Georgina Palos Noguer, Chante Perkins, Cecelia Landsiedel, Payton Kuhn, and Camilla Sanchez Nualart. Tech would use the pregame festivities as fuel in the game as they started out strong in the first half. Both sides would have spells of possession in the first half, but Tech would start to gain more control in the latter stages of the half, as well as outshoot Rochester Christian six shots to two. However, the game would remain tied at zero. The second half would be similar to the first with the Orange & Black having more of the possession and shots, but Tech would not be able to get past the RCU keeper. In the 60th minute, the visitors would go up 1-0. The Warriors recorded seven shots over the final 30 minutes but still could not find the back of the net. Despite controlling more of the game and outshooting their opponent 14-4, Tech would fall by one at the final whistle. Palos Noguer led the Warriors with three shots on goal, while Kuhn, Isidora Pozo, Leticia Guimaraes, and Yamileth Segura each had one. The Tech defense played well allowing just three shots on goal from Rochester Christian for the game, with sophomore keeper Madison Strain making two saves between the sticks.

With the loss, the Warriors season comes to an end at 3-10-3 overall as they finish WHAC play in ninth with a 1-6-2 record, just missing out on the eight-team WHAC Tournament set to begin next Saturday.
