FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team used a strong second half to defeat WHAC foe Madonna 102-93 on Senior Day.
The game was evenly matched to open as the teams found themselves tied at 16-16 ten minutes in. Madonna used a 12-4 run to take a 28-20 lead.
Madonna led by as many as 11 before an Indiana Tech run cut the deficit to three at 41-38. Madonna then used five quick points to take a 46-38 lead into the half.
Indiana Tech opened the second half on a 17-6 run to take a 55-52 lead. The teams traded blows, and the game remained one possession until Indiana Tech took a 67-62 lead.
Madonna cut the Tech lead to three at 81-78 with just under six minutes to go. The Warriors then used a 12-3 run to extend their lead to 93-81 with two minutes to go.
Madonna hit some threes down the stretch, but Indiana Tech matched every basket as the Warriors secured an enormous 102-93 win.
Six different players were in double figures for Indiana Tech.
Blake Davison, on his Senior Day, led Indiana Tech with 24 points.
Jaxson Fugate had yet another double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Logan Beaston added 22 points, and the trio of
Steele Brasfield,
Dallas Roberts, and
Eric Hobson each scored 10 points.
Indiana Tech moves to 19-6 overall and 15-5 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday against Siena Heights for their final regular season home game.
