Warriors Take Down Dickinson State, Run Past Carroll

TUCSON, Ariz. – Indiana Tech softball picked up a pair of wins on Wednesday in Tucson, defeating Dickinson State 3–2 before earning an 8–0 shutout victory over Carroll (Mont.) in the second game of the day.

In the opener against Dickinson State, the Warriors responded after falling behind early with a big third inning. Allie Dolenc came around to score to tie the game after an RBI groundout from Alyssa Fox. Moments later, Haylee Pruitt delivered a two-RBI single, bringing home Morgan Macek and Mae Griffore to give Indiana Tech a 3–1 lead.

Dickinson State pushed across a run in the sixth to tighten the game, but Savannah Bravo remained in control in the circle. Bravo went the distance, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out seven to secure the victory.

At the plate, Fox and Carlye Walter each recorded two hits, while Pruitt drove in two RBIs to lead the offense.

Indiana Tech carried that momentum into the second game, where the Warriors' offense erupted in an 8–0 win over Carroll.

The scoring began in the second inning when Kaelie Kugler doubled to drive in Victoria Boyer for the first run of the game. Indiana Tech extended the lead in the third inning with RBI singles from Melissa Cabrera and Boyer, making it 3–0.

The Warriors continued to add on in the fourth as Pruitt delivered another clutch hit, driving in Morgan Macek and Alyssa Fox to stretch the lead to 5–0.

Indiana Tech kept the pressure on late with additional RBIs from Kugler, Alyssa Harvey, and Cabrera to push the lead to eight.

Offensively, the Warriors collected 12 hits, with Cabrera, Boyer, Pruitt, and Macek each recording multiple hits. Kugler finished with three RBIs, while Cabrera and Pruitt each drove in two runs.

In the circle, Mallory Stinson delivered a dominant performance, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just three hits and striking out five.

With the sweep, Indiana Tech continued its strong showing in Tucson as the Warriors improved to 12–8 on the season.
