SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The 11 Seed Indiana Tech women's basketball team fell to 6 Seed Spring Arbor 59-56 in the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship First Round, presented by Ballogy.
Both offenses were slow to start as Spring Arbor led 7-2 with two minutes left in the first quarter. Spring Arbor led 13-8 at the end of one.
Spring Arbor held a 22-18 lead halfway through the second quarter. Indiana Tech came back to tie the score at 24-24. With the score tied at 26-26, Spring Arbor scored the final three points of the second quarter and led at the half 29-26.
Spring Arbor took a six-point lead at 38-32 early in the third quarter. Spring Arbor led 43-37, but a three by
Madison Vice cut the deficit to three at 43-40 to end the third.
Spring Arbor took a six-point lead once again at 50-44. Indiana Tech responded with three free throws to cut the deficit back to three at 50-47.
Spring Arbor led 55-50 with one minute to go. Indiana Tech cut the advantage to 58-56 with ten seconds left. Spring Arbor went 1-2 at the free throw line, which gave Indiana Tech a three-point attempt to tie, but the shot came up short as Spring Arbor secured a 59-56 win.
Ryan Moorer led Indiana Tech with 22 points and nine rebounds.
Jaidyn Gulley had another double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Jacklyn Crews added nine points off the bench.
Indiana Tech finishes the season 26-6.
