LIMA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Northwestern Ohio, falling in game one 1-0 and game two 6-3.
Indiana Tech loaded the bases in the top of the first of game one but could not score a run. UNOH took a 1-0 lead on a wild pitch in the bottom of the third.
Neither team would score again as UNOH secured a 1-0 win in seven innings.
Indiana Tech only had three hits in game one.
Jorge Santana stole the lone base for the Warriors.
Luke Myers got the start and took the tough luck loss, allowing just one run in a six-inning complete game effort.
UNOH took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Indiana Tech answered with a solo home run by
Brycen Hannah in the top of the second to tie the game at 1-1.
UNOH scored a run in the second to take a 2-1 lead. An RBI double by
Jack Ferguson in the top of the third tied the game at 2-2.
A sacrifice fly by
Ben Morrison in the fifth gave Indiana Tech a 3-2 lead.
UNOH scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead. Two more runs in the sixth put UNOH ahead 6-3, which would be the final score.
Ben Morrison led Indiana Tech with two hits.
Jack Ferguson doubled and walked three times.
Brycen Hannah homered, and
Dane Richards stole a base.
Kaden Plank got the start, allowing two runs in 4.1 innings.
Danny May took the loss, allowing two runs in 0.2 innings.
Kade Robinson threw an inning, and
Dean Sommer followed with 0.2 innings.
Tad Dobek and
Colton Leatherman combined to throw 1.2 scoreless innings in relief.
Indiana Tech falls to 15-9 overall and 5-3 in WHAC play. The Warriors return to action on Wednesday at Marian.
