Bravo Throws No-Hitter as Warriors Sweep Grace

The Indiana Tech Warriors softball secured a strong doubleheader sweep over Grace College Lancers softball on Wednesday, taking Game 1 with a dominant 5–0 shutout before closing the day with a 5–3 victory in Game 2.

In the opener, Savannah Bravo was nearly untouchable in the circle, tossing a complete-game no-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead the Warriors. The Indiana Tech offense backed her with 12 hits, highlighted by a home run from Kiersten Delaney and RBIs from Alyssa Fox, Allie Dolenc, and Kaelie Kugler. The Warriors steadily built their lead with runs in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings.

Game 2 featured another strong showing from Indiana Tech as the Warriors jumped out early when Avery Kidwell scored in the first inning. After Grace tied the game in the third, the Warriors responded with a two-run fourth inning and added an insurance run in the fifth. Morgan Macek led the offense with a 2-for-2 performance, while Alyssa Fox, Avery Kidwell, and Melissa Cabrera each drove in key runs.

In the circle, Savannah Bravo returned in relief to earn the win, striking out three across two innings to secure the sweep.

Indiana Tech combined for 10 runs on 17 hits across the two games, continuing to build momentum as the Warriors improve their record.

With the sweep behind them, the Indiana Tech Warriors softball now heads to Tucson to compete in the Tucson Invitational Games, where the Warriors aim to build momentum, gain valuable experience, and continue their strong start as the spring season kicks into full swing.
