Indiana Tech Advances to WHAC Championship with 3–2 Win

FORT WAYNE, IND. - Indiana Tech continued its run in the WHAC Tournament with a hard-fought 3–2 win over Lourdes on Saturday at Warrior Park, using timely hitting and another strong outing in the circle from Savannah Bravo.

The Warriors struck first in the opening inning as Alyssa Harvey drove in Morgan Macek with an RBI single to take an early 1–0 lead.

Lourdes responded in the fourth inning with a two-run home run to briefly take a 2–1 advantage, but Indiana Tech answered right back in the bottom half. Melissa Cabrera delivered an RBI single to bring home Carlye Walter and even the score at 2–2.

Indiana Tech regained the lead in the fifth inning when Mae Griffore came through with an RBI double to score Harvey, giving the Warriors a 3–2 edge they would not relinquish.

In the circle, Bravo continued her dominant season, tossing a complete game while allowing just four hits and two runs. She struck out seven and limited Lourdes to minimal offensive opportunities down the stretch to earn her 21st win of the season.

Offensively, the Warriors totaled eight hits, with multiple players contributing in key moments. Harvey, Cabrera, and Griffore each drove in a run, while Avery Kidwell led the team with two hits.

Indiana Tech's defense remained steady throughout, helping preserve the one-run lead and secure another postseason victory.

With the win, the Warriors improve to 33–14 overall and continue advancing through the WHAC Tournament. Indiana Tech will face Madonna in the WHAC Tournament Championship, set for May 1–2 in Livonia, Michigan. With Madonna earning the WHAC regular season title, the Warriors have also secured a bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
