Men’s Volleyball Stays Alive with Five Set Victory over 5 Seed Campbellsville

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The 12 seed Indiana Tech men's volleyball team kept their season alive with a five-set victory over 5 seed Campbellsville.
 
Campbellsville took a 9-2 lead in the first set. CU would go on to cruise to a 25-15 set one win.
 
Leading 10-9 in set two, Indiana Tech used a 7-1 run to extend their lead to 17-10. Indiana Tech would take the second set 25-17.
 
With the two teams tied at 14-14 in the third set, Indiana Tech used a 5-1 run to take a 19-15 lead. Indiana Tech would go on to take the third set 25-19.
 
Campbellsville took an 11-5 lead in the fourth set. Indiana Tech cut the lead to three at 14-11, but CU used a 4-1 run to take an 18-12 advantage. Campbellsville would take the fourth set 25-18.
 
With the teams tied at 3-3 in the fifth set, Indiana Tech used a 5-0 run to take an 8-3 lead. Tech led 12-6, but CU cut the lead to two at 14-12. The Warriors would maintain their lead and go on to take the set 15-12 and the match 3-2.
 
Kristian Kold led Indiana Tech with 19 kills. Dylan Poore added 17 kills, and Zack Karns had eight. Logan Gamero had a team-high 10.0 blocks, and both Poore and Logan Gieseke added 5.0. Nolan Bosley led Indiana Tech with 48 assists and 11 digs.
 
Indiana Tech moves to 23-10 overall. The Warriors' fate will be decided after the match between 4 seed Missouri Valley and 5 seed Campbellsville. If Missouri Valley wins, they will move to 2-0 and advance. If Campbellsville wins, all three teams will be 1-1 in pool play and the teams will advance to the tiebreaker matches.
