Rankings Roundup!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Postseason is showtime and six Indiana Tech programs are ready for the moment, currently appearing in the latest polls or are receiving votes. With regular seasons at an end, the Warriors now turn their focus to championship runs, aiming to bring home conference titles and national recognition on the biggest stage. In this week's Ranking Roundup, we see movement across the national polls as postseason play begins, with teams building momentum and positioning themselves for deep tournament runs.

Leading the way this spring, the Indiana Tech men's track and field team continues to dominate, holding strong among the nation's best, moving back up one spot to No. 3. The Warriors are powered by standout performances like Daiveon Gayle-Woodley, who earned Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after blazing to a season-best 46.36 in the 400m at the Mount Union Classic. His time not only improved his NAIA A standard but now ranks third in the entire country. With momentum building, the Warriors continue to battle at the WHAC Championships, where they'll look to defend their home turf and bring home another conference title, before another NAIA National Championship run.

On the women's side, Indiana Tech checks in at No. 24 nationally and continues to show promise with a talented and rising group. K'Leigh Davis led the charge, earning Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after helping the 4x100m relay team post a season-best 46.23, hitting the NAIA A standard and ranking eighth in the nation. Surrounded by a strong freshman class, Davis has also been recognized as a Newcomer of the Year nominee in Tech's yearly student athlete awards. As they compete at the WHAC Championships alongside the men, the Warriors are looking to peak at the right time and make a strong push for conference and national titles.

Men's lacrosse made a big jump in the national poll, climbing three spots to No. 5 after a few wins and a hard-fought battle against No. 1 Madonna. Cam Fewster added to his record-breaking season, setting the program's single-season points record in the process. Tech advanced to the semifinals against No. 2 seed and No. 3-ranked Aquinas where they crushed the Saints in a statement win for the Warriors, setting up another showdown with top ranked Madonna for the WHAC Championship. With momentum on their side, the Warriors are focused on making a deep run into the postseason, starting with competing for a WHAC title to secure an auto bid to nationals.

Indiana Tech has consistently proven it can compete with the best with a handful of ranked wins this season. The Warriors fell against No. 10 seed Lawrence Tech in the WHAC Tournament semifinals, but national tournament hopes still live on. Leading the charge recently is Jada Pope, who earned WHAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant performance, recording 12 points on five goals and seven assists, while also contributing four ground balls and three caused turnovers. With strong leadership and confidence building at the right time, the Warriors are poised to continue postseason play if they can secure a spot in the tournament.

Her dominant outing included two doubles, a triple, and two home runs — highlighted by a walk-off grand slam in extra innings against Cleary. In the circle, Savannah Bravo continues to anchor the pitching staff, providing consistency and leadership as the Warriors look to control the game on both sides. With momentum building and a national opportunity ahead, Indiana Tech is poised to make a strong push into a deep national tournament run.
