FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team hosted the #22 ranked University of Northwestern Ohio in a cool fall Wednesday evening conference matchup.
Last year's defending WHAC champions would get off to a quick start with two goals in the opening five minutes of the game. After the quick shock, the Warriors would settle into the game and hold their own over the reminder of the first one. The Racers would add a third goal in the 57
th minute of the game, but the Warriors would play well in the second half with three shots on target in the period.
Aubrey Young,
Leticia Guimaraes, and
Maiara Sharma would register shots on goal for Tech, while
Madison Strain had a good game in goal for the Warriors, making 13 saves to deny the Racers time and time again.
The Warriors drop to 2-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in WHAC play. Tech will now have a week off before getting back on the road to play at Cleary University on Wednesday, September 30
th at 7pm in Howell, Michigan.
