FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The #3 ranked Indiana Tech men's soccer team hosted Carroll College on Sunday night in their third game of the week after defeating #18 Lindsey Wilson College on Monday and tying (RV) Eastern Oregon University on Thursday.
Tech would control the majority of the ball in the game against Carroll, but the offensive chances would be few on both sides. Both teams would finish with ten total shots but only four would make it on target, with Tech holding a 3-1 advantage there. One of those would come from substitute
Jack Kennedy, where he made a good run into the box and headed home the lone goal of the game off a corner kick from
Zak El Hannach in the 40
th minute. Tech took a 1-0 lead into halftime and would hold onto that lead for the entire second half. Goalkeeper
Alan Fleischer would save the Fighting Saints' only shot on target in the 61
st minute, going on to pick up the clean sheet victory, which is his third shutout victory this season. El Hannach continued to deliver for the Warriors with an assist against Carroll in a week where he also had a goal against Eastern Oregon and an assist against Lindsey Wilson, finishing with four points this week.
The Warriors improve to 4-1-1 overall this season and will host Huntington University on Wednesday, September 9
th at 7pm at Warrior Athletic Field in their next game.
