Indiana Institute of Technology

The Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament is named for, and played in honor of, former Warrior volleyball player Elizabeth "Liz" Lykowski. On October 5, 2008, during her senior season, the defensive specialist tragically and suddenly lost her life to a congenital heart defect.

A native of Ottawa Lake, Michigan and a product of Whiteford High School, Lykowski was one of the players that helped re-start the Indiana Tech Women's Volleyball program in 2005. She was an important part of the Warrior Volleyball program and will always be remembered at Indiana Tech. Her jersey (#3) is retired and hanging along the Wall of Honor in the Schaefer Center.

This tournament was put together in Lykowski's name to remember a wonderful person and teammate; a true Warrior who helped create what Indiana Tech Women's Volleyball is today.

The 2019 Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament will take place October 11-12 and this year's field includes: Concordia University, Goshen College, Indiana University Kokomo, Thomas More University, Trinity International University and Spring Arbor University.
