Grant Smith enters his fourth season as assistant coach of Indiana Tech men's basketball. Smith joined the coaching staff after a successful stint as a player for the Orange and Black from 2019-2023. After redshirting in 2019-20, Smith played three seasons at Indiana Tech, scoring 1,232 points. He also had 533 rebounds, 293 assists, 123 steals and 51 blocks. He was a member of the 2022-23 NAIA Runner-Up team. 

Prior to Indiana Tech, Smith spent two years at Indiana Wesleyan. He is a graudate of Connersville High School in Connersville, Indiana.Â
