Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Led by a season-high 20 points from Nick Lewis, the Indiana Tech men's basketball team defeated Lawrence Tech 60-54 on Saturday at the Don Ridler Field House. It was a tough first half for both teams, with neither able to really separate from the other.

The Blue Devils' (2-5, 0-3) largest lead of the period was four which they hit several times while the Warriors (5-4, 2-1) lead by as many as three points at 20-17 with 6:10 to play in the half. The teams tied three times and each held the lead five times with Lawrence Tech taking a 30-26 lead into the half.

LTU outscored Tech in the paint 24-18, 7-6 in points off turnovers, 12-6 in second chance points and 12-7 in bench points. The Orange and Black were 10-for-26 (38.5%) from the floor in the half while also knocking down 6-of-9 free throws. The Blue Devils finished the half 14-for-35 (40%) from the field and were 2-for-10 (20%) from behind the three-point arc. Parker Stouffer lead all scorers with nine points.

It looked to be a good start to the second half as the Warriors kept the score close, getting to within two-points twice, but after cutting the lead to three, 40-37, at the 12:39 mark, the Blue Devils went on an 11-0 run over the next four minutes to take a 14-point, 51-37 lead. A Jalen Packer layup ended the run and began a new one for the Warriors who turned the tables, allowing just three points in the final 8:55 while scoring 23 points to win the game.

The Warriors won in the paint in the second half, 26-12, while also scoring nine points off eight LTU turnovers while not committing a single one themselves in the half. Indiana Tech finished the game 24-for-56 (42.9%) from the floor despite missing all five three-point attempts. Conversely, the Blue Devils finished the game 23-for-57 (40.4%) from the floor including a 4-for-17 (23.5%) mark from behind the arc. The Warriors also finished the contest 12-for-18 from the charity stripe with LTU going 4-for-7 in the contest.

Lewis led all scorers with 20 points and didn't commit a single turnover in 39 minutes of play while Rontray Chavis added 16 points and nine rebounds. Stouffer finished the game with 13 points.

Jake Mullin led Lawrence Tech with 13 points while Brad Watterworth finished with a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Warriors return to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 26 when they travel to Dearborn, Mich. to face Michigan-Dearborn in at WHAC contest. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
