Box Score FREMONT, Neb. – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 Ice Hockey team has now won three of its last five contests- this time over Midland University 6-2 Sunday afternoon.
Fresh off a shutout win three days ago, goaltender
Zach Larson has emerged as the team's hottest netminder by recording back-to-back wins and this time registering 23 saves.
The Warriors held the lead from the get-go in this contest and then solidified their position with three third-period power-play goals for the win.
Six different Tech players scored with
Cameron Dimmitt registering the game-winning goal midway through the first period to stake Tech to a 3-1 lead.
The Warriors got their quickest start of the season by producing a pair of goals in the game's first three minutes.
Alex Gregorich started out with a goal less than a minute into the game, while
Jake Henrikson padded the Warrior lead to two just 1:42 later.
Jarrett Pfeiffer got the team's first of three third-period power-play goals just 24 seconds into the third period, and
Matt Walton and
Vaughn Clouston rounded out the scoring with the game's final two goals- both on the power play.
For the day, Henrikson, Dimmitt and Pfeiffer each finished with a goal and assist, while Larson has appeared to have emerged as the top netminder by virtue of his performance over the past four days.
