FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team has now won three of its last four games with a 1-0 overtime win Saturday afternoon against Concordia University in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action. The victory also moves
Jim Lipocky ahead of David Allway (2000-05) as the winningest women's soccer coach in program history with 62 victories.
The Warriors (9-8, 2-6 WHAC) played solid defensively in not allowing any shots on goal in support of
Bre Wojnarowski's third shutout of the season. Concordia attempted four shots during the contest.
Megan Perrey's game winner in the 102nd minute of the game, and 12th minute of overtime, ricocheted off the post from about 18 yards out.
The only loss for the Warriors in their last four outings was in double-overtime and Tech has out-scored the opposition 9-3 in those contests.
Tori Singstock and Perrey each had three of the team's 11 shots, with the Warriors accounting for five on goal. After each team registered only a single shot in the first half, the Orange and Black turned it up the pressure with seven second-half shots and three in overtime.
Tech finishes out the regular-season WHAC schedule at home against No. 6 University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 1 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Warriors Athletic Field.
