SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team had its longest winning streak of the season - five games - snapped by Lawrence Tech Wednesday night falling in four sets, 3-1.

Only four points separated the teams combined scores (94-90) and both teams won sets by 25-19 scores, but the Warriors were within a point of extending the other two sets before dropping both to the Blue Devils (16-17, 6-11 WHAC), 25-23.

The Warriors (17-12, 8-9 WHAC) had their best attack during the second set hitting at .357. With the second set tied 9-9, the Orange and Black won the next five points to take a 14-9 lead and never looked back. Tech lost the first and third sets 25-23, but had an overall 71-69 edge after the first three sets.

Shanice Richards and Christine Foest had 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Stacy Nagy and Cassandra Sarabia each added nine kills to pace the Warriors' attack.

Karli Jones led the team with 28 assists and Emileen Palka chipped in with 18. Three Tech players were in double digits in digs with Taylor Kelso leading the way with 21. Katelyn St. Martin added 17 digs while Elizabeth Mathews had 14.

Tech next hosts the Indiana Tech Crossover this weekend with a pair of matches on Saturday, Nov. 1. The Orange and Black will face No. 17 Madonna University at 10 a.m. and Siena Heights University at 4:30 p.m.
