@IndianaTechVB Splits Games in Crossover

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team split a pair of matches in their Crossover Saturday morning and afternoon. The Warriors (18-13, 9-10 WHAC) finished on a high note with a 3-0 win over Siena Heights after dropping to No. 17 Madonna University 3-1 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play. With the latter win, Tech has now won six of its last eight matches.

Tech beat the Saints(16-12, 9-10 WHAC) 25-16, 25-21 and 25-19 in the afternoon match. Leading the way for the Warriors in the second match was Katelyn St. Martin with eight kills, 10 digs and a pair of service aces. Karli Jones has 17 assists, while Taylor Kelso had a dozen digs and Christine Foest added a pair of blocks.

In the morning match against the Crusaders (32-5, 17-2 WHAC), Tech was just a couple points short of sending the match to a fifth and deciding set. The Orange and Black lost a close fourth set, 25-23. After dropping the first two sets, the Warriors came back to take the third, 25-19 and carried the momentum into the deciding set before just falling short.

Stacy Nagy led the Warriors in the first match with 14 kills, while St. Martin added 19 digs and Jones registered 22 assists.

For the day, Nagy totaled 20 kills to lead the team. St. Martin tallied 29 digs and Jones added 39 assists in the two contests combined.

Tech will face Lourdes University Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Warriors' last scheduled regular season matchup for Senior Night.
