GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Playing in freezing conditions, it took extra time to decide the regular season finale between Indiana Tech and Cornerstone, which the home team won with a marker in the 91st minute at Cornerstone Soccer Stadium.

It was a busy opening 90 minutes that saw 17 shots, including nine on frame between the two teams. Each team tallied four shots in the first half, with the Golden Eagles (6-11-1, 3-6-1 WHAC) putting three on goal while the Warriors (7-8-2, 4-6 WHAC) put two on frame.

In the second half, the Warriors mustered more offense, attempting five shots, two on frame, while Cornerstone attempted four shots, putting half of those on target, but both goalkeepers were up to the task.

The Orange and Black got the first shot in the overtime period, but couldn't convert and one minute later, the home team netted the game winner, clinching a spot in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament, while the Warriors finished the year sixth in the WHAC.

For the game, Tech outshot Cornerstone 10-9 in the contest, with both teams putting five shots on target.
