Box Score CHICAGO – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 Ice Hockey team played its second of three games against nationally-ranked opponents in the Robert Morris Invitational Saturday afternoon. The 24th-ranked Oakland Grizzlies got a pair of first period goals 34 seconds apart midway through the period and Tech was never able to recover before falling 6-1.
With Oakland holding a 3-0 lead after the first period, the teams played even in the second trading goals just 26 seconds apart.
Jarrett Pfeiffer got the Warriors on the board with about 12 minutes left in the middle frame.
Jake Henrikson and
Cameron Dimmitt earned assists on the play as it brought Tech within three at 4-1.
Goaltender
Zach Larson faced 47 shots and registered 41 saves on the day, while allowing four even-strength goals. The Orange and Black registered 21 shots.
The Warriors take on host No. 11 Robert Morris (Ill.) Sunday at 2:20 p.m. to conclude tournament play.
