FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Facing their fourth ranked team in seven games, the Indiana Tech women's basketball team had their two-game win streak snapped on Wednesday night with a 75-50 loss to No. 16 Siena Heights at the Schaefer Center.
Tech put up a fight early, climbing out of a 4-0 hole to tie the game twice at six and eight points, but a 12-0 run by the Saints (3-0, 2-0 WHAC) pushed the deficit to 12. Tech was able to get within 10 several times, but SHU closed the door on the Warriors (2-5, 2-1 WHAC), taking a 15-point lead into the break.
The Orange and Black struggled on offense in the loss, finishing the contest 18-for-52 (34.6%) from the field and 4-for-15 (26.7%) from behind the three-point arc while converting 10-of-16 (62.5%) free throws.
Linsey Masnari led the Warriors with 15 points, finishing 5-for-9 from the floor, while
Baylee Rinehart also scored in double-figures, finishing with 11.
Rayana Villalpando led Tech with six rebounds while adding eight points.
The Warriors return to action on Saturday, Nov. 22 when they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face Concordia at 1 p.m.
