Three Career-Highs help @INTechWBB Dominate Cardinals, 98-72

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Led by three double-doubles, the Indiana Tech women's basketball team defeated Concordia in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, 98-72 on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (3-5, 3-2 WHAC) got off to a good start, scoring the game's first five points on a three-pointer from Baylee Rinehart and a jumper from Jessica Silva. A 7-0 run put the Cardinals (0-6, 0-4 WHAC) in front, but three Shallante Clements free throws put Tech back in front. The two teams traded baskets over the next several minutes until a Rayana Villalpando jumper put the Warriors up 15-14, giving them a lead they didn't give up. Over the final 10 minutes, the Orange and Black built a 10-point lead and after trading a pair of late scores, Tech took a 51-42 halftime lead.

It was all Warriors in the second half as Tech continued to build its lead, pushing it to 20 points on a Clements jumper with 9:16 to play. Rinehart hit a jumper with 3:42 to play, the last score of the night for the Orange and Black, taking a 31-point lead, their largest of the night.

The defense played well too, holding the home team to 28.6 percent (26-for-91) shooting despite a 10-for-39 (25.6%) mark from long range and a 10-for-19 (52.6%) mark at the free throw line.

Rinehart led all scorers in the contest with 23 points, adding nine rebounds while Silva, Clements and Nikki Grose and Alexjandra Marquez-Lopez each set career-highs. Silva and Clements and Marquez-Lopez each set new highs in points with 17, 14 and 11, respectively. Clements, Marquez-Lopez and Grose set records for rebounds with 14, 10 and 12, respectively.
