Box Score ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Indiana Tech American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 Ice Hockey team played Oakland University to a 4-4 tie through the latter two periods Friday night, but spotting the host Golden Grizzlies three first-period goals was too much to overcome in falling 7-4.
The Warriors did everything they could to get back into the game including pouring on the first three goals of the second period in a span of 6:31 to tie the game at 3 apiece. It was the first time this season the team had rallied back from three goals down in Tech's best second-period effort of the season thus far.
Vaughn Clouston,
Cameron Dimmitt and
Connor Roche each scored to knot the game.
Jake Henrikson rounded out the second-period Tech scoring, while five other Warriors added assists in the four-goal second-period barrage.
Jarrett Pfeiffer,
Alex Gregorich,
Matt Walton,
Chad Frost and
Anthony Passarelli all added second-period points with just Roche getting two on the night.
Goaltender
Matt Hughes made 32 saves after facing 39 shots.
The Division 1 team will try to capitalize on its late momentum with a rematch against Oakland Saturday at 7:20 p.m
