GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Stacy Nagy became the career solo block leader with a pair of blocks as the Indiana Tech volleyball team lost in straight sets to Davenport on Saturday afternoon. Nagy passed Erika Stouder (2008-10) as the all-time solo block leader with 109 in her career.
Nagy had the Warriors (8-7, 3-4) had the teams only solo blocks in the contest while adding four block assists. The senior middle hitter also tallied nine kills and is just 37 away from 1,000 in her career.
Tech finished the match strong, outhitting the Panthers, .214 (13-4-42) to .208 (16-6-48) in the final set, but after tying the set at 12, DU used a five-point rally to take a 17-12 lead and never looked back.
Christine Foest led the Warriors with 10 kills in the match while Nagy led the team with a .333 (9-2-21) attack percentage.
Karli Jones collected 24 assists in the contests with
Taylor Kelso leading the team with 14 digs.
The Warriors conclude their three-game road trip on Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they travel to Sylvania, Ohio to face Lourdes at 7 p.m.
