RESULTS | GROVE CITY, Ohio – The sixth-ranked Indiana Tech wrestling team hit the road to face NCAA Division II University of Findlay, falling 24-14 in the dual at Central Crossing High School on Thursday night.
The night started off promising for the Warriors as freshman
Erique Early won the opening match at 125-pounds, 7-5, but four straight losses, including a 2-0 and 11-10 decision, put Tech in a deep hole down 10, 13-3.
Jacob Johnson did his job at 165-pounds, registering a fall for six points to put the Orange and Black back in the match. The Oilers scored a tech fall at 174, but Tyler Goldman responded with a 17-2 tech fall of his own at 184 to pull Tech within four, 14-18. A pair of close matches, 4-2 and 5-3, at 197 and 285 sealed the win for Findlay.
The Warriors will remain on the road as they travel to Alma, Michigan to compete in the Alma Open on Saturday, Jan. 24.
