SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to Lourdes University in WHAC play on Saturday, 2-0, in the first-ever meeting between the two schools at Wildcats Stadium.
While the Warriors held 10-5 shots on goal advantage and 17-11 shot advantage, the Orange and Black could not break through the strong play of Lourdes keeper Erika Brinkman, who made 10 saves on the day.
The Gray Wolves broke the scoreless tie in the 53
rd minute when Jada Foster beat
Alena Payne and the hosts would add an insurance goal in the 88
th minute off a Jessica Grindle goal.
Tech would have two corner kicks from
Jessica Zurcher in the final 75 seconds of the game, but were unable to connect on the set pieces.
Payne finished the game with three saves.
