Warriors Can’t Tame Gray Wolves

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team fell to Lourdes University, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.

The Warriors jumped out to the 1-0 lead in the 21st minute when Richard Doll scored his first goal of the year after collecting the ball at the top of the 18 and beat the Gray Wolves keeper to the left.

Lourdes would respond with two goals in the last 16 minutes of the half, both headers off of corner kicks, to head into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Matt Robinson would notch his first goal of the year in the 53rd minute to knot things up at two after his shot deflected off a Gray Wolves defender and rolled back the keeper.

Lourdes would score the game-winner 25 minutes later however, when Jake Kirchoff-Sleet made his way through the box and scored from six yards out to give the hosts a 3-2 advantage.

Logan Kelly finished the game with seven saves as his record fell to 3-8-1 for the year.

Doll and Ruben Leonardo led the Warriors with two shots on goal apiece, while Brennan Cochran led the team in total shots with three. The Orange and Black were outshot 19-11 and Lourdes had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
